Since our early days as a tea room, we’ve been a respite for locals and visitors alike, offering a haven for conversation and memorable cuisine. The tradition continues as our culinary team has curated an inventive and elevated menu through New American cuisine while paying homage to the beloved dishes that have been served at the Tabard Inn for years. Executive Chef Matthew Zafrir came to the Tabard in 2023, bringing with him experience from various fine dining restaurants around D.C. such as minibar by José Andrés, Cranes, Revelers Hour, as well as Woodberry Kitchen in Baltimore, MD. He also shares the Tabard's longstanding commitment to sourcing ingredients locally. Join us for a meal on our covered patio or one of our intimate dining rooms. CUT by Wolfgang Puck offers a sophisticated and modern design, refined service, and the absolute finest selections of beef. Our fine-dining dinner menu reflects the unique spirit and sensibility of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, with both the menu and design drawing inspiration from the surrounding Georgetown neighborhood.CUT restaurant features two stunning bars: one guests will find upon entering CUT, while the other sits atop the hotel on a magnificent deck overlooking the city. Both will serve custom bespoke cocktails, wine, beer, and an extensive food menu. An intimate 14-seat private dining space also will be available for special events, meetings, and celebrations. Due to limited space, any cancellations within 24 hours of the reservation may trigger a $25 per person cancellation fee. Guests may bring their own wine, as long as the wine is not on our wine list, limited to 2 bottles per table, and subject to a corkage fee of $45 per bottle / $90 per magnum.

    We went to tabard inn to celebrate our elopement earlier that day, and we were greeted with such warmth and excitement! The food was amazing; the cocktails were refreshing and thoughtfully crafted and we had an amazing time. The ambience was incredibly warm and cozy and we were even gifted some Prosecco and sweets as a congratulations!

    The experience was EPIC! The quality of the meal, attentiveness of service, artful presentation, the graciousness of Luke - the Restaurant Director - makes CUT the only place we want to go to for celebrations. My partner and I travel the world dining at some of the best restaurants and we consistently find CUT to be the best steak and elevated service. Last night's meal was so phenomenal that I am intimidated to prepare dinner for my partner tonight. Thank you CUT!

    One of the best meals of my life. Service, vibe, food, cocktail were all impeccable but in a completely not pretentious way. Every bite on the tasting menu was complex and flavorful, that left you considering and thinking after each bite. It was simply SO GOOD.

    Great meal! We only had a short time for dinner as we were headed to a concert. The staff was extremely attentive, served courses at a perfect pace so we were timely but didn’t feel rushed. Food was delicious and plentiful. And it is SO nice to eat in a restaurant where you don’t have to shout to be heard. We carried on our conversation at normal speaking levels and didn’t hear from those at tables near us. Convenient location and definitely will be back.
