Food was great, service was great. The space was VERY lively and felt a bit chaotic at times. It’s a beautiful room but when all the tables were seated it just felt like a little too much. Overall, a great experience and definitely recommend it, just be aware it is not a relaxing tea experience like some others in the city.

Excellent meal but our server (Sophia) made the experience so much better. She is a treasure. Yah Minnesota!!!

Great fun to have a meal at this iconic restaurant! The decor is stunning. And the maitre’d was charming, taking time to greet us and to identify some of the wonderful paintings that cover the walls. Oh, and the food was good too. 😁

We had a delightful brunch before the theater and definitely try the chocolate chip cookie plate for dessert, delicious!!!

I first experienced Joe Allen back in the summer of 1992, when my uncle who lived in New York took my mother and me out for dinner before Phantom. This was my third time dining there, and I was with my family before going to see Wicked for my brother’s birthday. Everything was phenomenal! We had the burger, pork chop, meatloaf and steak frites, and they were all hits. Our server was superb, very attentive, and handled herself with aplomb - especially the TLC she displayed to my dad who is hard of hearing. It’s easy to see why they are a fixture in the theater district, and you can be sure I will be back the next time my travels bring me to New York!
