Offering elevated modern American cuisine by Chef Javier Lopez, 71Above boasts breathtaking ocean views from Malibu to Laguna Hills, along with spectacular views of Los Angeles and the surrounding mountain ranges. 71Above is a Michelin level experience featuring the finest ingredients, world-class wine list and craft cocktails. The Restaurant and Skylounge have a Smart Casual dress code. Jackets are not required however, no hats, athletic wear, shorts or flip-flops are allowed. Reservations are held for 15 minutes.71Above features a 3 course Prix-Fixe menu for dinner only. We kindly ask all dining room guests to participate in the coursed menu. Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to have joined LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. We are an eclectic Los Angeles restaurant, located in Koreatown, heralded for its creativity and genre-defying cuisine. Their first restaurant together, owners Lien Ta and Chef Jonathan Whitener opened Here's Looking At You in 2016. Named a "Restaurant of the Year" by Food & Wine Magazine and one of Eater National's "38 Most Essential Restaurants," HLAY was also the subject of author Patric Kuh's "Becoming a Restaurateur." After four magical years as a small independent restaurant, COVID-19 would force its forever closure.     Loved both the space and the food.We had booked the lounge area which turned out to be a bad decision for daytime dining, however the staff were very accommodating and moved us to the main dining room filled with bright daylight and similarly well designed and decorated space. The food was delicious and so was the service. Would definitely recommend this venue.

    The food was really outstanding, and the service was very, very good. The room is noisy and it was made worse by some of the music choices and the volume of the music. The lighting at night time is not ideal for a restaurant offering this quality of food. It would be nicer to enjoy the food and the service in an environment where you don't have to yell at each other. The acoustics of the room is difficult, so maybe it would be wise to tone things down a little bit.

    Came here to celebrate my own Thanksgiving Day and was super impressed by this place and the experience! The views were spectacular and the food was top notch! My favorites were the grilled octopus, the turkey, as well as the mashed potatoes! The desserts were super good too! Service is nice, friendly, and helpful. Very professional! The only downside is that the restroom is a little filthy and no guarantee for window seating. Great for all formal and special occasions! Highly recommended!

    We were able to find street parking. The restaurant was festive and surrounding area was well lighted. We sat at the bar while waiting to be seated. Cocktails were good and strong! We chose the prix fixe menu including dessert - brussels, corn, beets, clams, sea bass, and added the crispy pork belly - all was so savory and delightful! Ambiance was pretty! Service by Claire was awesome! Overall fantastic! We will go back for more! Great job Girl and The Goat!

    Words hardly describe how wonderful this whole experience was: phenomenal wine pairings, impeccable service, attention to detail, exquisite plating, perfectly cooked, creative combinations....just incredible. On a scale of 1 to 10, this place is definitely an 11!!!
