Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. We are a bustling neighborhood restaurant in the heart of north loop. We are one of Austins oldest farm to table concepts. Our menu is foreign in style, while domestically sourced. Our menus change with the season, farm availability, & on chefs whim. Join us for our nose to tail tasting menu nightly if you appreciate whole animal usage. Our wine program is aimed toward biodynamic natural small production wines. If you'd like to have pre or post dinner cocktails, our awesome neighbors include the tigress bar & drink.well.Please note that we have a 15 minute grace period on reservation arrival times. Should you find yourself running late, please give us a call or the table may be released to a waiting guest. Tables of 1-2 guests will be reserved for 1.5 hours, tables of 3-4 will be reserved for 1 hour and 45 minutes, tables of 6+ will be reserved for 2 hours. These times reflect standard dining times of our guests. Should you feel that you need additional time, please notate this.

    We had a fabulous evening celebrating our anniversary at Emmer & Rye! Sarah was the penultimate server. Her recommendations were spot on. The wagyu carpaccio, broccoli, and pappardelle with smoked wagyu were out of this world! This place is a neighborhood gem!!!

    Being Christmas Day and a few of us being without family this year, we decided to make a reservation! We sat outside and Holden served us and was GREAT:) also every other waitress was so helpful and sweet. My friends and I made a great Christmas memory on the terrace.

    Everything was perfect. The ambience, the food and the service. I’m picky about cocktails. The Duchess might be the best one I’ve ever had. Brioche bread was a die for, I ate the entire loaf alone. 100 layer cake was stunning and also delicious. This just beat out my number one favorite, Jeffery’s in town.

    Every dish and every cocktail was outstanding. Flavor explosions with every bite, well balanced and unique cocktails. Gabby and Rudy took great care of us, George is a true hospitalitarian, and everyone who came to our table was so knowledgeable about the item they were serving. Great restaurant, great staff. Completely understandable why they earned a Michelin star. Run, don’t walk, to your reservation now!
