Solid breakfast spot; super friendly service. The maple donuts are soooooo good. My boyfriend said their Bloody Mary was just ok.

For starters our reservation was at 7pm. Got there 5 mints til and we waited til 7:21 to be seated. Next was our waiter. He asked if we were ready to order drinks yet had no drink menu. He either didn’t hear me say we didn’t have one or just thought I said we weren’t ready….but never got a wine/cocktail menu the next table actually gave us theirs. Then he came back with only one menu and still not a drink menu. When it came to ordering we asked for sautéed spinach and we were brought creamed spinach. Waiter checked on us maybe twice.

My boyfriend and I came for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and we got a sangria and Old fashioneds which were great!!The food was AMAZING. The Parker house rolls, the mussels, the steaks 🤌🏼 The only negative thing I have to say is that because we had a later reservation (10:00) we felt pretty rushed to order our food, thus feeling rushed to leave. It didn’t negatively affect our experience too much because the food was so bomb but definitely expected a higher level of service (minus the bussers and food runners who were friendly and great).

I had the pleasure of dining at Grant Grill in San Diego, and the experience was elevated by the exceptional service provided by Samuel. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. Samuel’s knowledge of the menu was impressive—he provided thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. Our wine was perfectly paired and he ensured that each course arrived at just the right time. What stood out the most was his ability to balance professionalism with warmth, making us feel truly welcomed. It’s rare to find a server who combines efficiency, attentiveness, and a personal touch so seamlessly. Samuel exemplifies top-tier hospitality, and I highly recommend requesting him for an outstanding dining experience at Grant Grill! Thank you, Samuel, for making our meal memorable—we’ll definitely be back!
