The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Delicious homemade desserts complete the menus, which are revised several times a year. We love coming to Ninety acres for special occasions. Last night was a birthday dinner. Love the ambiance. I like sitting in either the bar area or on a banquette in the main dining room. Always a classy experience!

Loved our Saturday night dining choice! The ambiance is great, although we were right next to the musician and that was a bit distracting. Will make a point to be seated away from the music next time. The food was absolutely amazing; everything was perfectly prepared and presented. Our server was outstanding - she really made for a wonderful experience. The only disappointment was the wine list. The choices are very limited and not what we expected from a restaurant of this distinction. All in all…can’t wait to return!
