Proper 21K, brought to DC from the New York City restaurateurs Rob Zahn and Will Strozier that own Manhattan Proper, and Proper West, opening in August 2020. Located at 2033 K St NW, Proper 21K is a high end sports bar serving All American classics with a gourmet twist. Proper 21K is the second DC location of NIEUW Group INC. Like its predecessors, located in New York City and DC, Proper 21K serves contemporary American cuisine. The space maintains the modern aesthetic and New York style of the Manhattan locations, which have best been described as Tom Ford meets Thomas Edison. The restaurant provides the best audio & visual for sports, corporate functions, nightlife and other events.

Christmas Eve is dinner will be a curated $92/per person prix fixe. Large parties of 6+ will be invited to our family friendly, buffet-style seating. Parties of 1-5 will be served a la carte in our main dining rooms. Since our early days as a tea room, we’ve been a respite for locals and visitors alike, offering a haven for conversation and memorable cuisine. The tradition continues as our culinary team has curated an inventive and elevated menu through New American cuisine while paying homage to the beloved dishes that have been served at the Tabard Inn for years.     Joes was a great manager and checked on us a couple of times. Our server, Annie was great as well. The food was good. The scallops were delicious but a little too much mushrooms for my liking in the risotto. It was louder than I thought it would/should be, but it was fine. The tables for two are kind of small and close together with other tables of two so you are in everyone’s conversions and plates. I would go back.

    The park is a wonderful restaurant. The service is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. It’s a great place the celebrate a special occasion or just to dine at for dinner.

    A wonderful Christmas dinner here. Food was plentiful and well prepared. Starter and dessert served by waiter. The main course and sides were buffet. Choice of turkey, salmon, lamb, and/or ham. Dozen side dishes. Something for all tastes. Loved the warm rolls. Plenty of street parking on Christmas but not regular work days.. Our second Christmas here. Plan to return next Christmas. Also I have eaten here on other occasions and food is uniformly good.

    There was a private event that required we be seated in a private dining room that was cozy and comfortable. Despite this huge event happening, our service by Gustavo was incredibly attentive and timely. What a warm and wonderful human being! Chef Todd Gray always manages to hire the best staff out there. They are incredibly personable, knowledgeable and caring about their work. The food is always scrumptious and top notch. Equinox is our go-to plant-based restaurant for sure. It's always a celebration of food, love, ambience, and fabulous service. We adore it there.
