Welcome to The Warren Restaurant, an extension of The Crowborough Estate, holding stock of Sussex Cattle, Boer Goats, Fallow deer, and Wild boar amongst others which the restaurant draws on for its menu. We are a Dog Friendly restaurant. Given the provenance, the kitchen predominantly cooks British food, occasionally dipping into other cuisines to provide a vehicle for flavours – nettle gnocchi for example, or poached oyster with wild boar chorizo.WE wanted a unique fun and informal restaurant, to offer their Crowborough Estate’s produce from. Situated in the historic village of Aylesford, The Hengist is a modern restaurant and bar, a short walk from the river's edge.The 16th Century building stands with original features, offering a perfect balance of elegance, heritage and modernity all surrounded by manicured gardens. Situated in the beautiful grounds of Wildernesse House is the Pavilion restaurant. Our chef prepares delicious dishes with an emphasis on fresh and seasonal produce. When booking a table in the evening, please be aware that we are a residential home and as such we ask that guests depart the restaurant by 09:00pm and have consideration for our neighbor's when leaving.Please be aware when visiting that there is a security gate on entry, the code for which is written on the gate, you will need to exit your vehicle to input the code. You will find the Pavilion restaurant next to the main house, opposite the Mews Houses. Ample parking available.Please be aware that our disabled lift is currently out of order. If you require disabled access please notify us ahead of time and we can advise the best place to park.

Overall it was very nice but we didn’t understand why the waiter told us we couldn’t have the champagne that we had selected to have with our afternoon tea and could only have Prosecco. It was an option on the menu however, they were unable to serve it to us. The waiter mumbled something, we thought he said they couldn’t open a whole bottle of champagne for two glasses.

Lovely place with different little areas within the rooms to suit different group sizes. We had a group of 5 and the food was excellent. A good range to suit all tastes from pie or fish and chips to venison, smoked carrot or pork belly. All beautifully presented with amazing flavour. Service was excellent with lovely, friendly staff. A great experience especially as it was for my birthday
