Carlos@b&v brings the finer side of dining and service to this unique little part of North London, on the Green in Winchmore Hill, a stone's throw from the mainline station of the same name and a short drive from Southgate on the end of the Piccadiily Line. Carlos himself is a restauranteur with flair, having built a reputation in the area over 30 years and so his experience with executing a dynamic and slick establishment brings much to be excited about. Guests will get that familiar 'welcome back' feeling even if they happen to be newcomers. The interiors are comfortably chic but inviting, with a warm ambience and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Live music and niche little magic entertainers are a regular occurrence. With an open alfresco feel in the summer, looking out on to the Green itself and a pavement terrace in warmer months too. Food and environment are great and definitely returning next time in London. The service was a bit rushed and we and the table next to us were politely reminded there was another reservation behind us. A little surprised to experience that after just over one hour in a restaurant of this level but perhaps that’s typical these days ? Rarely happens in the US so it was unexpected. Nonetheless, enjoyed our dinner and will return.

Had a really enjoyable Sunday roast today and the staff were great. We were a table of four but Unfortunately we were sat next to a table of 20 so we couldn’t hear each other speak. That’s not the fault of the restaurant but maybe they need to think about that when seating people. Overall a good experience though
