A French-Japanese bistro in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. Reservations are always recommended, but we are often able to accommodate walk-ins as well. While we love dogs, we can only accept trained service animals (not emotional support animals) both in our dining room as well as on our outdoor patio. We appreciate your understanding.

Open for indoor and outdoor dining and curbside takeout. Outdoors dining is subject to the weather. We have heaters but not for all tables. Please dress warmly. If there is a chance of rain we will have to cancel.Shiro has been named the Zagat Guide's number one restaurant and is consistently one of the highest rated establishments in the guide (#5 in 2011; #2 for service in 2013). Shiro is summed up by it's ingredients. Menu items are driven by the best available, nothing less is acceptable. For over 35 years, diners have enjoyed our French and Pacific Rim inspired menu. A tradition of fine dining with excellent, friendly service. We may supplement our menu with a special Taste of Shiro (soup or salad, meat or fish, dessert). Wed/Th. The evening's menu is posted around 3pm.As much as we love them, we must ask that your dogs and other pets stay home. Service dogs, of course, are welcome.

They have come from two completely different paths.One was a contractor in logistics the other a chef in London and Paris.What they both have in common besides the love of good food is the love of street culture. Years ago they met in Paris during a regular sale of shoes at the Place de la République…From this meeting, the pair launched into a collaboration of sharing their passion for food. In 2024, the original location of Petit Trois, on Highland Ave in Hollywood, celebrates 10 years as a beloved, can't miss part of LA's dining scene. Chef/Owner Ludo Lefebvre puts his spin on classic French flavors including the cult-favorite Big Mec burger, swimming in rich Bordelaise sauce, perfectly roasted Heritage chicken with compressed potatoes fried in clarified butter, a French Dip sandwich served with a version of the restaurant's onion soup for dipping, and lots more. Start with the restaurant's housemade baguette served with the creamiest French butter and pair it all with wine from the restaurant's thoughtfully curated list, which includes 16 by the glass options.
