Everything tasted very good but the escargot starter and mushroom risotto were excellent! Also love the complimentary madeleine :)

Nous avons adoré notre expérience (dîner) parce que c'est une expérience ! Tout était délicieux, le pana cotta au foie gras , un délice ! Généreuse portion de tataki de thon, en fait, tout était bon du début à la fin (barbe à papa à l'érable Ouf ! et les chocolats Re-ouf) ! Le personne est courtois, présent mais pas trop ! Bel ambiance, enfin un resto ou nous pouvons parler sans qu'il y ait mille bruits autour Nous y retournerons, c'est certain !

We had an outstanding experience at Le Gargamelle. We each got the 6 course meal, and every course was wonderful. The cured scallop was a favorite, but then so was the hamachi crudo, and the venison ragu…. It says a lot about the quality of the chef when the vegetable course, with winter vegetables, was a favorite of the table. And the service was amazing. Our 15yo asked for a mocktail similar to what he has had at a restaurant near home, and the bartenders did not disappoint—they made two, as a challenge, and were both excellent. Great food, great service, great physical space, and we will be back on our next trip to Montreal.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. We didn’t realize though that they didn’t serve alcohol so we had to go buy our own right at the beginning of the meal, and they didn’t have decaf coffee. Otherwise it was amazing!
