What a wonderful and authentic Italian experience with terrific ambience and lovely staff! The food was delightful -stuffed zucchini flowers and caprese salad ,followed by tagliatelle with wild boar ragu and ravioli as our main courses .Finished off with a lovely tiramisu and double espressos - - and I had a Merlot grappa to end a wonderful dinner. Someone must have contacted the restaurant - - a candlelit treat was brought out with the whole restaurant singing happy birthday to me— a great evening!

My friend treated me for my birthday and it was a great experience. The service, the food, the ambience, everything was delightful. The added touch of a birthday flower and the menu with my name on it wishing me a happy birthday was so special. That was the magic touch of a great birthday experience.

The pasta making was fun. We had great company next to us and since we were traveling we gave them our pasta. The portions of each course of the meal are huge! Don’t order the same as your partner. Try different things and share! We love Aunt Jake’s. This was our 4th time to dine with them, first time making pasta!

Beautiful lunch! We had been looking forward to trying Ginori and it was great. We are obsessed with the stunning Ginori china as well.

NYC is replete with Italian restaurants. But Il Postino is just a step above almost all the others. Food is mostly prepared in front of you by staff who clearly enjoy what they do, many of which have been here for decades. After dozens of meals, I have yet to open a menu -- the recitation of the specials is always enough to satisfy. And the quality of what emerges is reliably top-of-class. Marvelous for special occasions and for any other time you can get there.
