Welcome to Roberts Scratch Kitchen. We are a fine dining continental cuisine BYOB scratch kitchen restaurant located in Totowa New Jersey. Serving lunch and dinner with daily specials, offering a full Gluten Free Menu. Our modern spacious dining room is finely detailed, cozy, and relaxing, with a trendy classy feel.At RSK our food is made from scratch. We do not use any ready-made prepared foods. Our kitchen has no freezer. Food is purchased fresh daily. Meals are homemade in the restaurant kitchen just a few feet from where you are dining. We also ask to bare with us as it is hard to find staff and we try to keep the prices as low as possible due to the high food costs these days and also trying to find the product in these strange times. We only use top of the line high quality provisions. On weekends we have a 90 minute table time for 2 tops and 2 hour table time for larger then that on the earlier seatings.

There is only one way to describe it: Classic Russia in the heart of New York. The history of Russian Samovar starts well before the restaurant itself. Originally Jilly's Canteen, and owned by a friend of Frank Sinatra, Jilly Rizzo, Samovar was the go-to hot spot for Sinatra and The Rat Pack. In 1986, Roman Kaplan, founder of Russian Samovar acquired the property and was joined in 1987 by friends and business partners: Legendary dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov and Nobel Award Winning poet Joseph Brodsky. Baryshnikov's baby grand piano is still used daily by our performers and guests can still request the Brodsky table, where the legends used to sit and drink away the hours. Guests of private events also enjoy our private dining room, where Baryshnikov filmed Sex in the City.Samovar has remained a celebrity hangout over the years. We've been lucky enough to feature impromptu shows by Liza Minelli and rumor has it that Mel Brooks adapted The Producers to film while sitting at our bar.

Exceptional service by Sammy, delicious food and a festive ambiance made for a perfect Sunday night pre-Beacon Theater-show dinner. We enjoyed tender short ribs, tasty brick chicken and the quinoa bowl with chicken, followed by crème brûlée and chocolate babka for dessert. And we were only a short walk to the Beacon Theater for our show.

I took a shot on this one due to the mixed reviews. This was our first time here (party of 4) to celebrate my mom's birthday. Honestly, everything was really nice from the moment we walked in. We were received by a nice, smiling hostess and all our servers were kind and answered all questions we had. The food was good and the tea was great. The only thing is that it is a bit overpriced for what it is...but it's NY people, this is expected. Overall we were all extremely satisfied with our first-time dine in at the Russian Tea Room.

Everything was superb. Really fun and interesting atmosphere. Live music, feels like a classic NY Italian family restaurant. Tagliatelle was fantastic as a Primo. Scungili salad was the special which was excellent. Best pork chop I’ve ever had (with potatoes and hot peppers). My wife had the shrimp and she loved it. Would recommend very highly - on par and even superior to top Italian restaurants in Manhattan and the Bronx.

It’s always a treat dining at Gallow Green. It was cold and rainy outside but it’s fully covered and heated on their roof. Staff was friendly and food/drinks were great per usual!
