Friedmans was named after the famous economist Milton Friedman who popularized the phrase, “there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch”. This phrase has gone on to be used in science, economics, finance, statistics, technology, sports, & now food. However, to put it simply, “to get one thing we like, we usually have to give up another thing we like.” Our mantra is simple, “Eat good food” and this is what we strive to deliver to our guests. It's a season of party and gratitude. I had my birthday party here in August. This was the third time that I dined at boat house. The spicy jumbo lump crab & avocado cocktail was so fresh. The faroe island salmon and Bronzino accompanied by Sancerre were fantastic. We were so lucky to sit by the window and have enjoyed a snow lake view with plenty of sunshine. The restaurant was filled with a warmth of family and holiday mood.

A very charming restaurant all decked out for Christmas! The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was excellent. We had the cod special with mushroom risotto! I took half of mine home with me and will enjoy it again!
