Opened in April 2024 by a family that has been operating restaurants in and around Old Town for almost 50 years. Located in the heart of Old Town, Mystic has a diverse menu featuring Texas style smoked brisket, baby rack ribs & Carolina pulled pork. Meats are smoked low & slow in BBQ champion Myron Mixon's signature smoker that is front and center in our open kitchen. BBQ is just one part of this southern centric menu that also features fresh seafood including our signature spicy she crab soup, low country shrimp & grits & creole bouillabaisse. Not to be missed is the jumbo lump crab cake sandwich, which sets the standard for all of Old Town. Food was excellent. I had the pork chop and it was amongst the best I’ve tasted. We had a party of 7 and they all had a variety of things and they were all happy. Bread basket is not to be missed.

Some of the nicest restaurant staff I’ve met in DC and all of the food literally melted in my mouth it was so good! Definitely recommend trying the butter biscuits with homemade peach jam as an appetizer.

Always happy with Black restaurants. Food was reliably excellent if not exceptional - we had blackened catfish and blackened shrimp. Service was attentive, congenial and responsive. Good value for increasingly expensive DC restaurant scene.

This was a short notice lunch meeting with a colleague and the right place.. good midday location, warm reception and awesome food. The lunch special was a great deal, but we veered off to get additional food items. The menu is an eye catching experience. You want to try everything. My first experience with Oysters Rockefeller made me a convert for sure. This is a keeper and highly recommended. We’ll be back for sure 👍🏾
