Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). Just the best. Nothing missing, nothing unnecessary, nothing less than perfect. In my opinion St John continues to be the flag bearer for what British cookery is capable of, and the food today was as good as its ever been. Thank you all. Long live St John

Always go here for lunch meetings but only gave 4 for food as the grilled squid we ordered was not entirely cooked as there were portions that were very rubbery

It was a superb, breathtaking experience to have dinner at the Sky Lounge, Shangri-La the Shard. I particularly like the relaxed atmosphere and the amazing views while enjoying our delicious meal. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this smart casual restaurant with extremely friendly staff. An unforgettable experience!!
