The wait staff is very attentive and well versed on the restaurant menu. Atmosphere was quaint and welcoming. The food was the best Italian that I have had since my grandmothers. Chef came out to make sure we were enjoying our food and introduced themself. Menu changes with the seasons. Will definitely be back.

We ordered grilled octopus, schnitzel, steaks…all of them were absolutely amazing.

The food was really excellent. I found the service to be great as well. I would highly recommend.

Nobody greeted us at the door for several minutes, so the evening started badly. Once we were seated, our server was very attentive and the food was good so the evening ended well.

Sallies Bistro has become our Favorite Dunedin restaurant. A true hidden gem. Food is meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious.
