Back after more than a two year closure following the George IV Bridge in late 2021, Merchants has undergone a full refurbishment. Merchants serves Scottish cuisine in one of the most bustling areas of Edinburgh. We came here a year and a half ago and I have been craving the baked eggs with goats cheese ever since! Today we ordered that (obviously), eggs Benedict with spinach and mushrooms, a green juice to round it out, coffee, snd a flat white. Everything was as delicious as I remembered and our next stay in Edinburgh will include a repeat visit!

No 11 Brunswick Street was a superb choice of venue for my birthday meal. The quality of the food was incredible and value for money. Service was great, very friendly and attentive. We had our choice of tables and were greeted very warmly. A lovely venue, amazing food and great service. Will definitely be back.
