Yet another superlative experience- interesting starter of mackerel with some unusual accompaniments [successful blend of root veg, rhubarb, walnuts and fennel]; main course of perfectly cooked tender pork loin and a delightful lemon posset with blueberry compote to finish. Well worth the bib gourmand and a campaign for the establishment to gain a Michelin star needs to be initiated. Excellent value set lunch, sweetened by a complimentary glass of very quaffable house wine. [This January only] Thank you, Henry and Team.

My friends and I visit regularly for lunch. The tables are spread out so you don’t feel on top of other guests. I would receive the Chicken Caesar Salad as it’s freshly prepared.

We have been several times before and it was as as good as usual. Great food and service and a chilled dining experience.

The Ashmolean rooftop restaurant is a great place to have a nice meal in a light and airy environment, with the option to be seated outside when the weather is suitable. The menu is limited to 5 or 6 options for each course but is a good range to suit most people and it is well presented. The serving staff are polite and attentive, the atmosphere is calm all round a pleasant experience.

It was a very, very busy Christmas Eve. Staff were brilliant! We booked a table, it was reserved. Food choice good. Beer too.
