Our concept is simple – providing our customers with the best quality fish, cooked in front of you, in simple and classic ways. Our central location in Borough Market means that London’s best produce is right on our doorstep. We are proud to say that we source most of our produce from Borough Market itself, and our fish is delivered daily from our very own fishmonger, Jarvis, which is renowned for its extensive range of the freshest fish and seafood. Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. Welcome to BEHIND. We are an intimate 1 Michelin star fish-focused tasting menu restaurant run by chef Andy Beynon. Situated on the edge of London Fields, Hackney, BEHIND has 18 kitchen-table seats for lunch and dinner sittings, as well as a relaxed wine bar. BEHIND is Andy Beynon’s first restaurant, opened in October 2020. After just 20 days’ trading it was awarded its first Michelin Star. Andy spent 15 years working in some of the best Michelin star restaurants in the country, including with chefs Claude Bosi, Phil Howard and Michael Wignall.

Our food is simply great sustainable sourced seafood cooked well from the British Isles.
