Excellent food and service. The Sole baked in a puff pastry was exquisite and very tasty- great compliment of vegetables and sauce. Baked escargot, foie gras, and a Chocolate Soufflé all complimented each other for a perfect French dinner. Joseph, Alex and team offered impeccable service in a classic comfortable atmosphere. Relaxing and fulFILLING experience. Even the baguettes and egg plant tapenade merit mention. Highly recommend— patience with parking situation will be rewarded.

We are delighted that Cognac has recently opened in our neighborhood. It is a lovely interior with banquettes and well-spaced tables. The staff is welcoming and professional. The food is French bistro - hot onion soup perfect on a cold winter's day, omelets, salads, quiche and sandwiches.

Our second visit was a lovely experience much like the first. We were wondering how we missed the two entrees we had this evening on our first visit, but it turns out that they were both new menu items. The Rachis Parmetier my wife had was excellent. Shrimp and scallops nestled under Gruyère infused mashed potatoes. I had the Pan Bagnat. Probably the bet tuna sandwich I've ever had. Fresh tuna, anchovies, olive tapenade, with lettuce, tomato, and red onions topped off with Dijon mustard and herbs on crusty bread served with a side of fries. Just delicious. I tried the Tarte À L'oignon, a wonderful onion and goat cheese tart with a side salad as an appetizer, Wine and some drinks were excellent as well though there was no room for dessert. Service was very friendly and the decoration is lovely.

Don't order Chicken Paillard. It was very dry. Everything else was great. We ordered crab cake, lobster salad, fries and steak, branzino, and scallops. Chocolate mousse and ice cream cake are so good. Service was good but did require a lot of weaving hands to get attention during the peak hour. Overall a very good experience.
