La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. We were a party of 4. The confit duck on a bed of red cabbage was delicious but there wasn’t much cabbage. It seems the portion sizes have shrunk.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. You can guarantee the food is always good, service is good. The ambience, noisy but not too noisy - feels like you are having lunch somewhere abroad eg France

Gasmin our server was great. We ordered the prix fixe which was good. I loved the salad and the desert but the main ( essentially fried haddock) was good but not great. Next time I’ll order off the main menu The place has a beautiful art nouveau decor and is in a great neighborhood I’d recommend it and as I said our server was great
