The subterranean restaurant, located in the heart of Chelsea, is intended to look and feel as if it has been there for decades and only unearthed recently to reveal the artifacts within.     Let me tell you that TAO is the spot to go for all occasions. This is my fifth time going to TAO specifically for me and my husband’s anniversary and everything was done to perfection. The service was amazing and the food is always on point. Even when we ordered dessert it was the best thing to top off the night. Anyone that is looking to eat amazing food with an amazing view should definitely go to TAO. Trust me you won’t ever forget the experience ❤️

    I read several excellent reviews but was still impressed with how good this place was! Very cute and clean and food was so good. There was only 1 waiter and 1 bartender so service was a little slow but food came out quickly. The hummus and pita were some of the best I ever had. The dumplings were HUGE and had a delicious soup inside. The meat in the dumplings was a little fatty but many people like that. The Cheeseboat (we had steak and mushroom) was out of this world good. I expected the meat to be gross but it was excellent, mushrooms and onions were perfectly cooked and cheese and bread were fabulous! This was an excellent meal!
