A quality and relaxing local pub, run by award winning owners, in the beautiful Buckinghamshire village of Iver just a short drive from M4. The building and decor are charming and rustic, with elegant modern touches. Relax by the cozy log burner perfect for winter evenings or enjoy outdoor heated sitting, beer gardens and children play area. A daily menu, meal deals, all freshly prepared in the pub kitchen, includes fresh fish, burgers, salads, chicken, paining, baguettes, wraps, sandwiches and vegan choice food, delicious deserts that melts in your mouth and chef's daily specials with main course, drink and a side all for £15. As all dishes are prepared in the pub kitchen, they are able to cater for most dietary needs, with most sauces, soups and gravy all created gluten free. The 17th Century craftsman’s cottage has gradually been extended to form a charming country pub full of nooks and crannies. Under new ownership, The Black Horse has recently undergone extensive refurbishment both inside and out, creating one of the nicest pub environments in the area.Food is our passion and we will never compromise on quality. We are proud of our seasonally changing menus, simple, yet exciting using the finest ingredients and locally sourced produce. Certain dishes have become specialities such as our sticky ribs and homemade 8oz burgers. Our beef has been aged for a minimum of 35 days and the roast beef served on Sundays is unrivalled. Crispy beer battered fish and specials such as sea bass, turbot and whole lobster, is caught in the morning and delivered fresh to us on the same day.

We treated ourselves to a pre Christmas meal. We had Chateaubriand. The meal was amazing, meat cooked to perfection. This is my 3rd time at this wonderful restaurant in the last 3 months. Sunday Lunch, meal with friends and last night with my Fiancé. Each time the staff have been attentive and the atmosphere is inviting. i would highly recommend The George. We will be back soon

It was my first visit to the Green Oak we have wanted to go for a while and it did not disappoint. Such a lovely place we were greeted warmly and had a lovely table. The car park was busy it looked like there was a lot of people but inside it was spacious with plenty of room. The service was first class so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious beautifully cooked we had the fish and chips. It was my birthday and I was given complimentary sweet treat which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend a visit and we will definitely return.

The food and service is always consistent and always enjoyable, we’ve been back so many times, it’s definitely one of the best Sunday roasts for miles around! We have tried many local pubs & restaurants near us, but we are happy to travel from Langley to Farnham Common because The Foresters has the best roast dinner for miles around.
