The Rabbits is a family friendly gastro pub & restaurant in the heart of the essex countryside. We pride ourselves on good friendly service and good quality homecooked food with our seasonal menus, we serve real ales, fine wines & premium spirits. We have a great beer garden where you can take in the picturesque views whilst not having to go too far to order any food or drink as this can all be done at our garden bar which is also playing background music around our garden, this is open Thurs-Sunday throughout the spring/summer weather permitting. I love this place! The ambient setting with happy customers, the friendly team who are so professional and the freshness of the food that is amply portioned and beautifully presented. Pricing is so reasonable for the quality and service. They are deservedly busy all year round - I highly recommend! Thank you Sword team!

Exceptionally done modern British food. The service was flawless, which is impressive considering it opened only a few weeks ago. The Sunday menu was solid, with the highlights being the scotch egg, as well as celeriac. The vibe is nice, lively without being too noisy. A place where you can actually enjoy the food and chat.

We had a lovely stay here, the rooms are beautifully decorated and beds far to comfy The food was amazing, the staff lovely and very welcoming would definitely recommend and come again The hotel certainly is 5 star!!
