I looked up The Fox in the Michelin guide under gastropubs for somewhere to eat and stay for my husband’s birthday. It did NOT disappoint! The pub and restaurant were comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere and the food was fantastic - as good as any chef with Michelin stars in my opinion. The menu was varied and choice of wine excellent. The restaurant was tastefully furnished and so was our room with a lovely comfy bed! Cannot recommend enough to others.

The Red Cow is a very nice pub to visit. They always have a good choice of beer and wines. On the other hand food is either very good or mediocre. Today's Share of aubergine was a disappointment. The Fish and Chips were not what we expected. On other occasions food has been excellent. But today was not the best day for the Red Cow.

Such a lovely evening at The Axe & Compasses. They’ve renovated it superbly & it has a great atmosphere, gorgeous furnishings, fab food & Staff. A wonderful birthday meal, thanks!

I love this place! The ambient setting with happy customers, the friendly team who are so professional and the freshness of the food that is amply portioned and beautifully presented. Pricing is so reasonable for the quality and service. They are deservedly busy all year round - I highly recommend! Thank you Sword team!

Great food. Very busy restaurant but staff worked so hard! Second time visiting and worth every penny
