A grand old dame of a pub in the centre of Herne Hill and opposite Brockwell Park. In the front, we are large, light and airy around our central island bar. Out the back, we have our large decked garden, with some shade. To eat, we serve traditional pub food with a modern approach. We go for product quality over marketing for our draught and bottled beer collection and have a range of rotating ales. The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. Generally ok however, we were sat in the conservatory which had two entrances which people kept walking through and leaving the doors open - felt like being in a barn, impacted on the otherwise good experience. Wholesome food, portions perfect and well presented, not too much on the menu which suggested all freshly prepared and not heated from a freezer. Staff attentive and were able to add a seat at short notice which was really kind.

A great local pub serving wonderful food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Regularly changing menu offering freshly cooked, innovative and delicious food. Equally good for a quick drink or a longer visit. Love it!
