The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. The idea is to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price.

The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to. The evening was excellent, the food was delicious with good sized portions and it arrived quickly. The only downside was the lack of availability of 3 of the mains which meant that 3 of the 6 of us had to change our first menu choice. Also one of the sides was not available. Whilst I completely understand the need to stop waste it was a shame that the menu was so limited at 7pm on a Saturday night. That said I would definitely go back again. Thank you The George for offering fresh, high quality dishes despite your prime location. As Londoners we are usually disappointed with the food offered in many central London locations- but you offer a wonderful menu and dining experience for tourists and locals alike.

I really like the upstairs dining room here. It’s quiet and comfortable with great service and excellent food. It’s a good choice for a business lunch or dinner.
