The Britannia is Richmonds leading independent restaurant and bar. Located in the centre of town and down a very pretty cobbled alleyway, we are next to historic Richmond Green and two minutes from the Waterside.We have two large outside spaces - A roof terrace for traditional dining and a garden that lends itself to drinks and lighter fare. The Swan in Chiswick dates back to 1871 but we are positively new occupants having only arrived in 2002.We strive to keep the pub very much a pub while offering a Mediterranean-inspired menu that’s won many followers over the years.We have a cosy fire for the winter and a wonderful garden for the summer – it truly feels like a hidden gem and well worth a visit.Hopefully you can find everything you need to know here on the website but we’d much rather welcome you in person! Atmospheric location and cosy environment. The choice and quality of the food was very good but it was the service that was excellent. The waitress was attentive without being intrusive.

Everything was perfect. The black truffle and ricotta ravioli were River Cafe delicious. Excellent service and a warm, friendly vibe. Highly recommended.

A wonderful evening for a group of eight for drinks and side plates, seated in the bar area. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and friendly crowd. Despite being a busy evening with office xmas party bookings, we were so well looked after and the bar staff very attentive to our eclectic drinks orders! Highly recommend as a lovely locals pub and great for special occasions too.
