The Britannia is Richmonds leading independent restaurant and bar. Located in the centre of town and down a very pretty cobbled alleyway, we are next to historic Richmond Green and two minutes from the Waterside.We have two large outside spaces - A roof terrace for traditional dining and a garden that lends itself to drinks and lighter fare. The Swan in Chiswick dates back to 1871 but we are positively new occupants having only arrived in 2002.We strive to keep the pub very much a pub while offering a Mediterranean-inspired menu that’s won many followers over the years.We have a cosy fire for the winter and a wonderful garden for the summer – it truly feels like a hidden gem and well worth a visit.Hopefully you can find everything you need to know here on the website but we’d much rather welcome you in person! We went to the Fox and Grapes unplanned, booking at the last minute. It was excellent. Two courses, great wine selection, excellent service (from Louie especially). Despite living locally I don’t think we’ve been since 2022 - we won’t take as long going back.

Second visit this time Saturday mid afternoon, table for 2, salmon starter shared , flat iron steak, sides were sweet heart cabbage (this was very tasty) & green salad (fresh but lacking something to make it special) Atmosphere great, staff were fabulous .
