The interior has a distinctly late 19th century feel with wooden furnishings brought from Belfast, Ireland.Serving a wide range of domestic and international beers (30 on tap and 30 bottled). I really enjoyed The Elgin. I took my family here for Christmas Eve dinner. It was their first time being in NYC and they wanted to see the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center. The Elgin is a 3 min walk from 30 Rock so it worked out perfectly. The food was amazing as well. I’d say elevated bar food. The Carolina BBQ wings were EXCELLENT, the shrimp tacos were delicious, Salt & Vinegar fries were to die for. We also ordered the calamari and fish & chips which were great as well. The appetizers didn’t miss at all. And the cocktails were Amazing too: a great way to get warm after being out in the cold. I was very happy with my experience there and will definitely go again.

A friend introduced me to this restaurant over the summer and it’s been one of my favorites whenever I come back to NYC to catch up with friends. I love the explosive flavors, delicious cocktails, and the music they played had me bopping my head while eating. Ray was a great waiter checking in to make sure I was enjoying my meal and had everything I needed. I always enjoy my dinners here because the staff is wonderful and gives excellent recommendations.
