Old Tbilisi Garden Is The Only Georgian Restaurant In Greenwich Village, New York City. Old Tbilisi Garden opened on July 4th, 2014. Since then, it has been one of the only few restaurants that offer authentic Georgian Cuisine in Manhattan. Winemaking is deeply rooted in Georgia’s history, cultureand economy. The world’s first cultivated grapevines arethought to have originated in the country’s fertile valleyssome 8,000 years ago. Georgia’s long winemaking historyhas given rise to unique methods of production, such asthe “Kakhetian rule”. Georgians make wine that is aged andstored in a special cone-shaped clay vessel known asa Qvevri.

Oda House Offers authentic Georgian cuisine and natural wines. A liberal use of spices, kebabs, khinkali (oversized meat-and-cheese dumplings), mtsvadi, khachapuri (Georgian cheese bread) and adjaruli (Cheese boat) typify the kitchen’s preparations. But, more classic dishes may reveal satsivi, or boiled chicken, served cool in a warmly spiced and seasoned walnut sauce, accompanied by gomi. Oda House uses mostly fresh and organic ingredients sourced from local farms. Menu has plenty of vegan and Gluten-free choices.Maia Acquaviva, managing partner and executive Chef of Oda House, brings Georgian cuisine and a dose of Georgian culture and pride to NY. The passion she had from an early age to cook blossomed. This was the best meal I've ever had. The entire staff was Georgian and had great insight into their food & wine. We were there on Valentine's Day, so they had a live singer - who was incredible. Despite the singer & it being packed, it never got overly loud. We never needed to raise our voices to hear each other. The ubani salad was incredible. The appetizer platter was a perfect sampler (tzatziki tasting cheese was out of this world) everything we had was so tasty and we only wish we lived closer to be back sooner!

Very tasty food, the appetizers were okay..cabbage steak was tasty but very difficult to cut. Labio entree was too good! The corn bread with it was delicious
