As you step inside you’ll be transported by the Santorini aesthetic where fresh ingredients hit your senses and human interaction is a refreshing priority. Kyma’s airy, whitewashed wood design balanced by European stucco, evoke the stylized spirit of the Greek Islands. Generous seating at long white wooden tables are lined with plush, white canvas cushions. We do have a DJ for your entertainment on Thursdays in the main room and on Fridays and Saturdays DJ starts at 8 PM. During our dinner parties the music does increase in volume and becomes more upbeat as the night progresses. Please note: you must be 21 years of age to enter during our DJ hours.     The food is always amazing. My friend wasn’t too crazy about her drink and they changed it right away making the dinner perfect for her. It was her first time there and she said she wanted to go back. Everything was great.

    The food here is always great. I had the lamb and sea (lamb chops and shrimp) which was one of the specials. The lamb was cooked just as I asked (medium) and was a nice portion, along with 5 or 6 shrimp, mashed potatoes and broccoli. I also had the mussels for an appetizer, some of the best I have had. Everyone at our table was too full for dessert. In fact, 3 out of the 5 of us took home leftovers. Nick’s Bistro remains one of our favorite restaurants both for the food and the value, as well as the friendly, attentive wait staff.

    Somehow I just knew when I stepped in Meraki with its white stucco walls and blue shutters that I was in for an excellent Greek meal. It may also have been because one of the staffers (maybe a Manager) was singing in Greek. I had the Branzino ($50) with a Greek Salad, lemon potatoes and roasted vegetables! The fish was deboned and meaty, grilled perfectly. I love when the skin is grilled crispy with a bit of char. Fantastic!! The Greek salad was Fresh, Fresh, Fresh!! The dressing so very tasty!! The grilled vegetables fresh and roasted to perfection…you know because the sweetness of the veggie comes through. I was encouraged to try something different for my dessert. I usually do Baklava which I still ordered but in addition, I ordered the Bougatsa! My first time experiencing Bougatsa. Was sooooooo flaky, warm and yummy! The sprinkled powdered sugar and cinnamon reminds me of Ilalian Fried Dough however Bougatsa has more to offer with the crème center. The service was incredible. Dimitri our server was so accommodating and kind. Dimitri spoke with us about his hometown of Thessaloniki, Greece explaining how he came to receive his name Dimitri. Truly a kind spirit. But I think one must have a kind spirit in order to be employed at Meraki because ALL of the staff we encountered was so kind! Meraki has become my new favorite Greek restaurant in Brooklyn and perhaps all of NYC!

    my second visit in 2 months. def my fave Greek spot in BK. they didn't disappoint, again. I am anxious to visit when warm as d spot is on d water front. no complaints
