Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. We sat at the counter and enjoyed the theatre of the 3 chefs getting orders out. Even salads were made with love. We're planing a return visit and will explore more of the menu. Staff were great from sitting us down, serving drinks, taking our orders and clearing up all efficiently, quickly and unobtrusively done. Skewers of all varieties, croquettes, baby corn and bread & humus with burger and beef dripping cooked chips were the choices this time. Real tasty food, prepared with love seasoned to perfection and not a bad price...

Great welcome, fantastic table by window, food well presented and good flavours. Meals of an appropriate size - we don’t like overfilled plates, so the servings were just right.

Truly brilliant service and food. The Argentinian steak was perfect, and such a relief to get it cooked the way we asked. Impressed with the service and knowledge of the waiters/waitresses. 100% recommend.

We had not visited before but it looked like a good place to catch up with friends. Our table for 4 was booked for 6pm and was ready when we arrived. The restaurant was very busy but the staff were attentive and service was good. Our party all chose from the pre-theatre menu and the food was excellent and very good value. As the evening progressed the restaurant became less busy but there was still a pleasant buzz. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back.
