Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. Another superb supper in the charming and inspired Goldies. Finally got around to trying the Pork - that crispy and crunchy coating was top-notch Japanese level... so beautifully made and utterly unctious. As too were the new Beef Shin coquette - evidence that Will and his Team and forever thinking about their creations and tinkering to upscale their endeavours. It's a all a beautiful fusion between the immense achievements of the food and the sheers unpretentiousness of it all. You can't order badly - it's all unified, coherent and underpinned by philosophy and skill. Brilliant stuff.

Quality restaurant. Great food. I am often made to feel odd for liking my steak well done and usually they come cremated but not here. I asked for my steak well done (no pink). When it arrived it was slightly pink but staff were fantastic and remedied the situation without making me feel uncomfortable or destroying the steak. it is really worth it for the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff members. By far the best restaurant we found in London.

Waitress was super helpful and friendly but the whole experience felt a bit cramped - the tables next to us were really close and there wasn’t much room for all the dishes they had brought out. The restaurant also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke.
