The Connaught Grill, once one of London’s most celebrated restaurants, has returned to The Connaught giving a respectful nod to its distinguished heritage. Design of the restaurant is led by interior architect John Heah with a strong focus on art and craftsmanship complete with extraordinary signature wall panels, tables and chairs made by Mira Nakashima bespoke for the space.Located on the ground floor of the hotel, the intimate 46-seat Connaught Grill is under the direction of internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. We’ve been celebrating birthdays at Smith’s for the past four years, and every time they deliver an amazing experience! This year was extra special as we celebrated a birthday and a proposal, and the team went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. The table was beautiful, and they even brought out a cake with a candle, which added a lovely personal touch. The food was, as always, excellent—delicious, beautifully presented, and fresh. A special thank you to Alfredo, who truly made our lunch even more memorable. He was professional, kind, and welcoming, with a warm smile that made us feel right at home. His attention to detail and dedication to making our experience perfect is so appreciated. Smith’s has earned every one of these 5 stars—highly recommend for any special occasion!

I've been here several times before and the burgers are always excellent, but this time no chocolate milkshake and although the burger was very good, it wasn't as good as usual. Not exactly disapointing, it's still one of the best burgers in London, but no longer THE best.

Another superb supper in the charming and inspired Goldies. Finally got around to trying the Pork - that crispy and crunchy coating was top-notch Japanese level... so beautifully made and utterly unctious. As too were the new Beef Shin coquette - evidence that Will and his Team and forever thinking about their creations and tinkering to upscale their endeavours. It's a all a beautiful fusion between the immense achievements of the food and the sheers unpretentiousness of it all. You can't order badly - it's all unified, coherent and underpinned by philosophy and skill. Brilliant stuff.
