Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The Connaught Grill, once one of London’s most celebrated restaurants, has returned to The Connaught giving a respectful nod to its distinguished heritage. Design of the restaurant is led by interior architect John Heah with a strong focus on art and craftsmanship complete with extraordinary signature wall panels, tables and chairs made by Mira Nakashima bespoke for the space.Located on the ground floor of the hotel, the intimate 46-seat Connaught Grill is under the direction of internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Great food, I had the Lamb Tacos for a starter and for the mains I had the Argentine Sirloin Steak (Medium) and fries. The steak was juicy and super tasty. The fries were addictive. All in all the food was amazing. The whole place had a happy friendly ambience. The customers all looked happy and we're enjoying their respective food orders. The place attracted a decent crowd as well, it was a family friendly place, The staff was also very friendly. I couldn't fault the place at all. Eating here was a pleasure. Good people making good food for good people in a good place 10/10

Great service, from the welcome, sitting down and letting us decide on suitable seating area. The place was like an art deco gallery, they have put a lot of effort to make sure the experience is remembered. Food mains were fantastic, not a fan of the starters, maybe tweaking the flavours and cooking may be needed. Best dish honey glazed wings as per my colleagues.
