Located on High Holborn, close to the British Museum, the restaurant is elegantly designed and filled with original Indian art and antique furniture including century old items made for Maharajas which take diners on a journey through Indian culture and history. The menu reflects regional accents with a contemporary viewpoint. It is food that observes the established traditions of Indian cooking but breaks the rules a little by Executive Chef Sohan Bhandari. Our menu goes beyond a 1970’s “Curry”, beyond street food and into a world of real Indian flavours. Our signature dishes include our traditional lunch Tiffin, Khaati Rolls , Colonel Saab’s smoked lamb shank and figs poached in Assam tea cognac.The bar is a great meeting place and afterwork destination serving signature house cocktails created to compliment the menu. It was a good choice, great experience, amazing food, very helpful staff giving great suggestions and smiling all the time. We had a fantastic dining experience: we stayed much longer than we had planned as we felt so welcome, even had desserts yet we'd planned to go elsewhere for dessert 😉

11/10 experience. The food was absolutely incredible - some of the best Indian food I've ever had. It strided the line of inventive yet traditional flawlessly, and was easily better than what we normally have access to back in NYC. Probably going to buy Vivek Singh's cookbook now honestly. Also, the staff was lovely. Great service, and very attentive despite a full house (not too loud surprisingly, and wonderful ambiance by the way. My server even helped me surprise my partner for our anniversary. I came here on a whim on a travel day, and will definitely be coming back every time I am in London from now on. Thank you all so much!

A marvelous culinary experience with a perfect balance of flavors, every dish is truly delicious. The service is impeccable, and the staff are really friendly. I’ve visited Colonel Saab three times now, and I can only recommend it highly!
