Indian Fine Dining Restaurant with British Flair in the Heart of Mayfair. Benares Restaurant and Bar since its opening in 2003 has been considered one of the finest Indian Restaurants in the city. The experience we had was outstanding. Beautiful, sophisticated atmosphere in Mayfair. The food was incredible. While the lamb biryani wasn’t quite what we’d hoped for, it was still very good and the other dishes we had more than made up for it. I highly recommend Tamarind.

This was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. We had the festive tasting menu, cocktails and the wine pairing which certainly wasn’t cheap but worth every penny. The service was spot on without being overwhelming. The food and the wines were exquisite and the wines came in generous portions. The sommelier was very knowledgeable. Timing was perfect. Will save up and go again soon.

Farzi's menu is amazing and everything we tried as delicious. The service was very slow for pre-theatre diners which wasn't ideal and there is a lot of upselling of extra dishes and sides but the staff are all very friendly so it's still a very pleasant experience and we will be back.
