The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer. We hope we do it well.

The Winding Stair Bookshop & Café became a famous Dublin landmark in the 1970s and 1980s. Named after the Yeats poem and in honour of its winding staircase, it is overlooking the river Liffey, with an iconic view of the Ha'penny bridge. As a popular meeting place for writers, musicians and artists, it was a well known hub for debate and creativity with many poems written, novels penned and movies shot within its walls. In 2006, Elaine Murphy brought this much-loved spot back to life as a restaurant, championing seasonal, Irish produce. The bookshop, located on the ground floor, was retained, as were many of the old bookshelves, photos and memories. The room retains its timeless charm with stripped wood tables and floors, and Bentwood café chairs.The view remains as quintessentially Dublin as ever.The food is good, old-fashioned home cooking, with produce sourced from artisans within the island. Drink sare local and international craft beers & wines from stellar producers.

There is also a full range of Salads and Sandwiches to compliment these and, as often as not, you can enjoy Oysters and Guinness.The classic Gorgonzola sandwich with a glass of Burgundy as mentioned in Ulysses is available every day.Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate strollers/buggies indoors at Davy Byrnes but subject to availability, we can at our outside terraced area.     FIRE Steakhouse Restaurant & Bar Dublin is the perfect place for dinner, combining a cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and exquisite cuisine. Every dish is crafted with skill and passion, and the presentation is just as impressive as the taste. I would especially like to mention our waitress, Anastasia, who provided outstanding service. Despite the absence of sweet wine on the menu, she went above and beyond to find the perfect option for us, making our evening even more enjoyable. Such professionalism and genuine care for guests leave only positive impressions. If you're looking for a restaurant where you can not only enjoy a delicious meal but also experience impeccable service, FIRE Steakhouse is one of the best choices in Dublin!

    We booked a table for my nephews birthday, 9 of us attended. Had to wait until bang on 7 to get the table. Food was lovely. Garlic bread kept on coming. Everywhere you looked, there was garlic bread. Coeliac options were there aswell. I got the piri piri chicken, sauce on side was so spicy. My hubby got the striploin, well done. We shared. Would defo go back.

    Me and my wife had our last meal in Dublin at Pichet and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The fish was sooo fresh and it was accompanied by some amazing sides. The waiter helped us pair a wine with our fish which complimented our meal perfectly. Very highly recommended.
