When I opened my doors in July of 2009, I committed to serving the freshest Italian dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients. I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

Dinner at Roberto’s Trattoria is always a great experience. The peppercorn steak, the filet with crab and shrimp topping, and the rack of lamb all were amazing. Brent and all of the rest of the wait staff did an excellent job of taking care of us, making our family Christmas Eve Celebration very special.

The food was absolutely AMAZING! I started with grilled oysters that was so good I almost ate the shell! For dinner I got the Pollo Marsala with Brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes...all very tasty! The check was literally falling off the bone! I also tried their espresso martini flight which is probably the best deal you can get! The amount of drink in the cocktail for flights was extremely satisfying. I loved that they all were unique but still very much an espresso martini. Unfortunately the dessert menu was underwhelming so I opted out. But that didn't even factor into my overall experience! I will be back!!!
