After a two-year closure, Original Joe's, San Francisco’s quintessential Italian-American dining destination, revitalized iconic Daly City institution Joe’s of Westlake, and reintroduced it into the community as Original Joe’s Westlake. An anchor of Daly City from 1956 to 2014, Original Joe’s Westlake underwent an extensive two-year renovation, complete with a front-to-back interior remodel, including the kitchen and all dining spaces, and an exterior and landscaping overhaul. Following the Original Joe’s tradition, Westlake continues to prepare unpretentious, old-school Italian-American fare in an open kitchen for all to see.     Food is so good!!! We shared the beet salad, a margherita pizza, the butternut squash raviolis and the gnocchi. I am bot generally a fan of gnocchi but these were pure heaven! Okenty of ootions for our vegetarian party of 4. Drinks and dessert werre a smash hit too!

    We celebrated my mother’s birthday and we received the best service from the dining room team. I have to say today’s service surpassed the food even. Needless to say the food is dependably tasty. We had the shrimp cocktail - very fresh; the veal scallopini sec portion is generous, so is the side dish broccolini, the other entree is a favorite - shrimp scampi with linguine. When the dessert was brought, one server (who’s an opera singer, I believe) sang Happy Birthday in a most beautiful voice. So surprising, so special. It was an overall one of the best birthday meals my mother ever had.

    Made reservations to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday. So appreciated that they hung a birthday sign and had a birthday card for her when we arrived. Our server, Francesca, was great. We wanted to try so many things and we were having such a hard time deciding. Francesca provided recommendations after listening to us, and we were so glad we went with her recommendations. Started with the Gnocchi Carbona - gnocchi were light and pillowy soft and that sauce was everything. Next were the Chicken Cotoletta and the Pork Bistecca - both so good and so flavorful. For dessert, we had to go with the Chocolate Tiramisu - not too sweet and a perfect ending to a great meal. We were quite full and satisfied. Service was attentive. We can't wait to return.

    Everything was outstanding! Service was attentive, ambience was welcoming and the food was well prepared, fresh and delicious. We went on a Thursday night as I took my daughter and her roomies out for our quarterly dinner and we were well served.
