Opera Tavern is a beautiful two-storey bar and restaurant in the heart of central London’s theatre land. Located on Catherine Street we are opposite the Drury Lane Theatre, seconds from the Opera House, a stone’s throw from The Strand and a lovely walk across Waterloo Bridge from the South Bank. A beautiful former pub, the exposed brickwork, bold artwork and flattering low lighting help our two-story restaurant create the perfect atmosphere for a pre-theatre meal or drink. Fatto a Mano serves authentic Neapolitan pizza, sides and more. We use fresh ingredients in a warm, friendly environment. Our dough is made fresh daily and proved slowly, meaning we’re able to use minimal quantities of yeast and our pizzas are light. Our commitment is to quality, we use carefully selected Italian and local British ingredients from a handful of small, independent suppliers to top our pizzas.We use independent producers as long term partners, including Fior Di Latte Mozzarella sourced from Caserta, and wines imported directly from private Italian growers. The pizzeria menu features classics such as margherita, salsiccia e friarielli, and diavola, whilst also featuring modern additions including lasagna pizza, homemade arancini, our own vegan ‘nduja pizza and scugnizielli dessert.Our Neapolitan pizzeria is in the middle of Covent Garden’s buzzy theatre-district. Such a beautiful restaurant! Everything about it was perfect: service, food, ambience. Will definitely return! We were going to see Mamma Mia, which was literally across the street from the restaurant.

Hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt die Vorspeisen waren wirklich sehr gut, die Käseplatte war sehr reichhaltig. Der Service war extrem sympathisch und aufmerksam, hier wird auch gerne mal Wasser nachgeschängt. Zur Hauptspeise gab es Trüffelpasta und Carbonara. Kann ich jeden empfehlen.

A superb dining experience for a birthday celebration. Our server, Max, was helpful and attentive; the portions were plentiful and the food was delicious with a great balance of flavours. I would recommend a cosy table upstairs and to not pass up the cod, lamb and pork belly dishes. We will certainly visit during our next visit.
