Lido Restaurant at The Surf Club celebrates its place as the best oceanfront dining experience in the Miami Beaches. The Surf Club's once fabled ballroom, is now a destination for thoughtful Italian culinary; from crudos including Tonno al Tartufo Nero, made-in house pastas like Pacchero "alla Lido", to famed entrées like Branzino al Vapore.On Sundays we offer a Brunch Buffet experience with available seating on the Oceanfront Terrace or inside the Champagne Bar. Casadonna is a Coastal Italian-inspired waterfront restaurant developed in partnership between Groot Hospitality and Tao Group Hospitality. It is housed in the same Mediterranean revival building as Miami’s historic Women’s Club, located in the city’s burgeoning Edgewater neighborhood. In fact, the name “Casadonna” is derived from the setting—it is a fusion of Italian words translating to “house of the woman.”Riviera-style Italian cooking serves as the heart of Casadonna’s cuisine.     Our overall experience was very good but the evening started on a singular note because of a nasty comment from our server Alex who mocked the question of one guest of our party. It gave us a sinking feeling right away. Gladly the food was very good, the manager Alejandro very understanding when our bottle of wine was corked and gave us a new one, plus we were not charged for a cocktail that the glass was cracked sharply and we did not see it until we finished the drink. A beautiful evening that could have started on a better note than mocking a guest by telling them that their question about the decor ‘WAS A FIRST’. THANK YOU ALEJANDRO (the manager) FOR SAVING THE EVENING and thank you to the chef and the nice young girl who was attentive to all our needs. CIAO !
