Shinsei Restaurant - Traditional Sushi / Contemporary Asian KitchenWhen we came up with the concept of Shinsei we wanted a place that reflected our lifestyles: sometimes we went out to dinner with our kids and sometimes with our friends and husbands. We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish. Our signature poppers, for instance, are a sophisticated mix of late night bar food and sumptuous finger food with a distinctly Asian flair.

Open for over 20 years, Oishii Owner & Executive Chef Thanh Nguyen serves some of the most creative comfort sashimi, sushi, and specialty rolls (including many rice-less and gluten-free options) in Dallas.     I had a great experience at Nobu Dallas! I originally booked for five friends, and I intended to book underneath the happy hour option however, when we first got seated, I was told that we had booked a reservation under the wrong thing.  our waitress was very accommodating, assisting us and moving to the happy hour section and even putting us in a section where my friends and I could comfortably sit and laugh without bothering the other guest.  Although we moved around a few times before eventually getting settled I want to thank the Nobu team who didn’t make us feel as though we were a bother for having made the initial scheduling mistake underneath the reservation. They were extremely accommodating and made my birthday feel special.  beyond this the food and drinks were amazing as usual, and the weight staff incredibly kind.
