Nami Nori is a casual, Japanese restaurant specializing in open-style temaki hand rolls, located in Montclair. The menu features signature hand rolls, including crunchy varieties, as well as classic versions, and a special vegan section. Japanese-inspired dishes from the kitchen and desserts are also on offer. We accept reservations up to 30 days in advance. Please note that the grace period is 10 minutes for guests who are running late. We kindly ask that guests respect our dinner seating times of 1 hr 30 minutes for parties up to 3 and 2 hours for parties of 4-5, and 2 hr 30 minutes for parties of 6 or more. Online reservations are not available for Hibachi tables on Friday & Saturday evenings between the hours of 5:30 & 8:30. Reservations for the lounge are only for parties of 5 or more.     We are long time customers. The place can use some updating and a deep cleaning. No hot sake ? Def should make sure the machine works. The staff was very good from Louis the server, Hector the chef and Andy the manager. They all were very accommodating. Food is consistent and very good.

    Had an exceptional time visiting Sushi Lounge with my date on a Friday evening. Live DJ dropped some ambiance friendly music - I had the Motown Roll and Short Rib Robata. The robata was complex and savory; the Motown sushi roll was a nice blend of creamy and crunchy with the exactly right amount of snap. The cocktails were obviously made with care and fit the meal to a t in terms of taste and suitability. The service was on point, and both my date and myself were happy with the care put into our requests. Both timely and adding a little extra, giving us a full assortment of sauces to dip our sushi rolls into. Cannot recommend more, 5 stars.
