Chocolate Buddha undertook an AMAZING renovation in 2019 by Maddison Architects. We have a 22 seater SUSHI TRAIN open Wednesday to Sunday lunches 12 - 3pm and Wednesday to Saturday Dinners 5 - 8pm it includes an EXPRESS train which delivers hot food ordered via a tablet. We offer QR menus at each table for ease of ordering, splitting bills and menu with pictures and descriptions. This type of ordering is optional so always let us know if you prefer to order with us. Great dinner, wagyu omasake. The matching sake and wine were great! Thanks to Christ, on serving and advising on the sake and wine. Food is surprising great. Not expecting much but vastly impressive. Fusion Japanese and western dishes. Not cheap (A$500 for two) but not expensive in international standard and for the standard of food. Enjoyed thoroughly.

So impressed by the food, cocktails, and service. The restaurant was also beautiful, such an artistically designed space it was very impressive. The team there were absolutely amazing and we are dying to get back in. It’s a must try!

The food was fabulous, they catered for 3 generations and made changes to the menu to ensure everyone had food they would enjoy. Dad they are leaving Hawthorn but will follow them into the city

Best decision to have an a la carte lunch on Christmas Day. Awesome service via the phone & in person. Food we can’t fault. The only negatives were that they ran out of oysters by 1pm and also one of the cocktails. We will definitely go back.
