Otaru is a must for anyone looking for a great dining experience! I chose this place for my wife's birthday. It exceeded our expectations in every way. We had the yellow tail and pork boa for appetizers , then followed it up with the Otaru course. The hot meal we ended with was the udon beef which Randy (waiter) split in separate bowls for us to share. Randy even surprised my wife with a little birthday cake and together we sang her happy birthday. Randy made our first experience here unforgettable. From the beginning to the end it was flawless and we can't wait to come back again !

Best sushi in Pittsburgh hands down. The closest to Japan you’ll get. Everything is so fresh and amazing.

We had a phenomenal experience at Soba. The ambience is great, the food is amazing (and the portion sizes as well, surprisingly), and their service was attentive and helpful but not too intrusive. We had a few concerns going there since my partner is allergic to seafood; however, their menu clearly marked vegan items that would be safe for her to eat (and she’s still breathing). We felt we certainly got what we paid for and will be coming back! Great for a date night or a vibe-y place to just hang out and have some great food.

To be honest. It was the only place that I could get a reservation for six in at the last minute. They did accommodate us well. When I did arrive, the place does have an old musty smell. It was virtually empty with only a few tables seated on a Saturday night at 7 PM. The waiter that took our order was a tentative. Our chef was very good as well. Unfortunately, I left there, and I was still hungry after getting the imperial twin New York strip steaks. in a pinch again, I surely would go. But it would not be my first choice.
