Masuya Restaurant is located in a building, which has been designated as a cultural asset, on O’Connell Street in Sydney. This is the same place as the office of Kanematsu Gosho, the pioneer of Australia – Japan trades, was situated in 1980. Masuya Restaurant opened in 1993, then full renovation was implemented in 2006.The approx. five meters long sushi counter, designed by architect Robert Toland in ‘kabuki red’ with an idea of the stage of kabuki, has since fascinated not only local Australian customers but also various people with different backgrounds.A showcase displays more than 20 different sushi ingredients everyday including locally produced fish, which is purchased on the day.     Good service and nice food. We try Nagasaki seafood udon, pork gyoza and eggplan with sweet miso and all of them taste good. Definitely will be back 🙂.

    Great meal and atmosphere. Especially impressed with how well they do gluten free food and how knowledgeable the staff were. The only issue was the lack of food on the sushi train but I guess since it was Saturday night it maybe isn’t The focus of their service.

    I got thr premium buffet on a Saturday night, so it was very busy but the service was quick and amazing, This is my second time coming here, first time was OMG Amazing ..!! Like had to be my fav Jap all you can eat.. meat was soft juicy and amazing.. i highly rated it.. But sadly second time I came i was a little disappointed.. wagyu was a little chewy, beef tongue was frozen, but overall I was still happy with it, but not sure now if I'll come back especially for the premium price.
