New Team, New Menu, Better food and Better Service.Takumi Yakiniku is a Japanese Yakiniku BBQ restaurant that offers top quality Australian Wagyu and Japanese Wagyu and Authentic Japanese Cuisine. Besides Yakiniku we also offer traditional Japanese Washoku. We have both buffet menu and A'La Carte menu. We aim to provide our customers the best experience with us by providing the most authentic Japanese taste, the most harmonious dining environment and best customer service experience.Our kitchen staff are mostly native Japanese who have 10+ years chef experience in Japanese Cuisine.Recent training in Japan allows us to provide more varieties. Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. Masuya Restaurant is located in a building, which has been designated as a cultural asset, on O’Connell Street in Sydney. This is the same place as the office of Kanematsu Gosho, the pioneer of Australia – Japan trades, was situated in 1980. Masuya Restaurant opened in 1993, then full renovation was implemented in 2006.The approx. five meters long sushi counter, designed by architect Robert Toland in ‘kabuki red’ with an idea of the stage of kabuki, has since fascinated not only local Australian customers but also various people with different backgrounds.A showcase displays more than 20 different sushi ingredients everyday including locally produced fish, which is purchased on the day.     We’ve dined at this local gem on several occasions and each time, the staff was attentive and the food was good. Came for my birthday on the last outing and the staff made such a lovely fuss. Food is always spot on and cooked well.

    I got thr premium buffet on a Saturday night, so it was very busy but the service was quick and amazing, This is my second time coming here, first time was OMG Amazing ..!! Like had to be my fav Jap all you can eat.. meat was soft juicy and amazing.. i highly rated it.. But sadly second time I came i was a little disappointed.. wagyu was a little chewy, beef tongue was frozen, but overall I was still happy with it, but not sure now if I'll come back especially for the premium price.

    Thank you for an amazing lunch, the service was exceptional and the food to die for. Especially the Prawns and the Toothfish (which is the first time I have ever eaten out and had it cooked perfectly). The Cauliflower Karaage was so beautiful and fresh it blew my socks off. Thank you again to all the team for a memorable dining experience.

    Really fresh sashimi and tasty sushi. There are lots of variety of meats to choose from. Our party of 3 chose the deluxe buffet. Food came relatively quickly after ordering as we were there on a weekday.

    The sushi omakase at Rhodes Central Komatsu is always excellent. The thoughtful attention to detail, great ingredients, and the skills of the seasoned chef always provide a fantastic experience, which is why I visit this place several times a year. Additionally, it’s even better because it’s close to my home. Although they also operate dine-in services, it’s never chaotic, and the fact that they only take one set of guests at a time is always a great choice for me, as I enjoy taking my time to savor the food.
