Mujō is a one MICHELIN star, intimate, omakase-only tasting menu experience serving modern edomae sushi led by Executive Chef J. Trent Harris. Our menu changes daily and reflects the best seasonal ingredients available, as well as fish flown in directly from Japan. The experience consists of a series of small plates and a progression of seasonal nigiri. We are inspired by the Japanese concept of ichi-go ichi-e, 一期一会, or “one time, one meeting. Our goal is not to recreate the sushiya of Japan, but to offer an experience that represents who and where we are, while respecting and honoring the traditions of edomae sushi. A genuine delight. Excellently curated variety of a fish and a one-of-a-kind selection of ingredients. The waitstaff was very attentive but not overbearing. Excellent service from the moment you walk in. The desserts were also unbelievable. I opted for a few optional courses, and they were all brilliant. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. Side note: the sommelier, Saam, was so dang good as his job. He explained every wine/sake pairing brilliantly and was a delight to talk to in general. I hope to return soon!

Excellent service! Like top quality. Food was really good. I prefer the yellow tail jalapeno at a different restaurant but Umi’s is very good. Love the lobster toban-yaki. Spider roll was yummy. Sake negiri also tasty. Chocolate bento box dessert was amazing. It’s pricey but we will return for special occasions.
